Florida
District Convention
The Florida District Convention is generally held
each year in March. Since the Circle K year at the
district level runs from April 1-March 30, this convention
marks the end of one CKI year and the beginning of
the next, as new district officers are elected and
installed. At the convention, each club is allowed
two delegates. These delegates vote on new district
officers and amendments to the District Bylaws. Any
member in good standing may serve as a delegate or
run for district office. The district convention also
celebrates the accomplishments of clubs around the
district through awards that recognize outstanding
projects, accomplishments, and individuals. Such awards
include the Club Achievement, Single Service, Scrapbook,
and various other awards designed to reward outstanding
service to CKI.
Leadership
Training Conference
The Leadership Training Conference (LTC) is usually
held the second weekend of May. The district board
concentrates on educating newly elected club officers,
as well as any members who come. There are seminars,
projects, and lectures designed for general members
and officers. The district board encourages every
member to attend this conference. Strong leadership
skills enable CKI members not only to excel in community
service, but also to manage club operations smoothly.
Besides officer education sessions, other workshops
include planning membership drives, service projects,
fundraisers, and other pertinent topics.
The fun - This is by far the most laid back
conference we have. The whole weekend is casual. The
camp ground includes a lake for swimming, and a volleyball
court. Plus, there is traditionally a water gun fight
Friday night, movies, lots of free snacks, food, and
2 auctions. The first auction is the board auction,
where you bid on district board members, and the winner
gets to make them do something. The second auction
is for the right to pie the person of your choice.
The workshops - those who go to this conference
will leave with a much better understanding of CKI,
and what makes this organization unique from all others.
The fellowship - attendees will get to meet
college students from all over Florida, and hopefully
leave the weekend with a lot of new friends.

The IDEAS Conference (formerly known as Issues Conference)
is held in the fall of each year. Originally a conference
to educate members, it now serves as a leadership
conference, bringing CKI members and local college
student leaders together for a series of roundtable
discussions and seminars. IDEAS stands for Inspire,
Develop, Educate, and Serve. The name of the conference
has been changed, from ISSUES, to better describe
the true meaning of our conference.
Fall
and Spring Zone Rallies
The Fall and Spring Zone Rallies serve as an opportunity
for the members of each zone to get together to learn
more about CKI. The Fall Rally provides informational
sessions on the Governor's Project, the Issues Conference,
and various club issues, while also providing new
members with information about CKI. Often times, some
form of service project will also be done at these
rallies. The Spring Rallies serve as an opportunity
for members to meet candidates for district office,
as well as find out about district convention and
other upcoming events.
Y'all
Conference
The Y'all Conference, held in January, is primarily
a social conference designed to promote good relations
between the districts in the Southeast.
